When is the best time to visit Vietnam for a motorbike tour?
Vietnam’s diverse geography means the best time to visit can vary depending on the region:
North (Ha Giang, Sapa, Hanoi): The ideal time is from October to April. The weather is cooler and dry, especially during the winter months
Central Vietnam (Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue): The best time is from February to May when the weather is warm and dry. Avoid the rainy season (September–November)
South (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc): The best time to visit is during the dry season from December to April, as the weather is sunny and perfect for motorbiking.
Overall, the spring (February to April) and autumn (September to November) are generally the most favorable for motorbike tours across the country.
